The Institute for Workforce Advancement – Introduction to Composites

The Institute for Workforce Advancement (formerly Composite Prototyping Center) recently held its inaugural Introduction to Composites class in the STEM laboratory at the Cradle of Aviation.

This 15-hour course, which provides hands-on training and classroom lectures, gives high school students and in-transition workers insight into the many exciting and well-paying jobs available here on Long Island within the advanced manufacturing industry. Students receive one college credit from Vaughn college upon successful course completion.
