Science Thursdays with Brookhaven Lab

Register for Science Thursdays with Brookhaven Lab on April 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. This session will focus on Superconducting Magnets with Piyush Joshi, a research engineer and group leader at the Superconducting Magnet Division.

Piyush is a highly experienced and versatile senior research Electrical Engineer with expertise in superconducting accelerator magnets, energy storage magnets, semiconductor physics, superconductivity, industrial automation, power transmission and generation, magnetically levitated transport system, electromagnetic launchers, analog and digital electronics, fast data acquisition, simulation, and control software.

He received his electrical engineering degree from SBM Polytechnic in India and Doctoral Engineer degree in Electrical Engineering at NYU Polytechnic. He received the Department of Energy’s “Honor Award for R&D on Superconducting Magnets for Particle Accelerator and High Energy Physics”. In 2015 he received the Brookhaven Lab “Engineer of Year” award.
